The state of art translational animal research center of IASST is located inside the premises of IASST. This center is registered with CPCSEA (Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals), Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (Animal Welfare Division), Government of India. At present this facility houses four types of laboratory small animals, like Albino rats (Wistar), Albino mice (Swiss), Guinea pigs (Duncan Hartley) and Rabbits (New Zealand white) for different pre-clinical studies to examine the effect of various herbal formulation, medicinal herbs, and also in-silico designed synthetic drugs on metabolic syndrome associated health disorders and other diseases. An Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) constituted as per the guidelines of CPCSEA oversees the clinical issues in animal experiment.

Library & documentation centre with access to > 2000 journals from EBSCo, CSIRO, Springer, Open J-gate, CERA. Knowledge resources center of IASSTcan be used for Drug Development, intellectual property, business analytics etc.

IASST with the financial support from DBT, Govt. of India has established a quality control/quality assurance laboratory (QAQCL) for testing herbal and medicinal plant material/extract which is to be NABL accredited. The state-of-the-art laboratory facility is first of its kind in NE India, for testing of herbal and phytopharmaceutical products. The QC-QA laboratory facility test and analyse various essential quality parameters of plant based products by strictly following the guidelines of NABL,FSSAI and AYUSH.

With an aim of enabling early start-ups with a “plug and play” feature, BioNEST IASSTprovides access to a fully equipped office space with Photocopier, Scanner, Projector, video audio conferencing facilities. 4 Exclusive Lab/office spaces for individual companies (~ 250 – 270 sqft. each) are designed for upcoming incubatees. The Incubatees will have to bring their own lab and office equipment.

At BioNEST IASSTwe offer virtual office space that will give startups a physical address and office-related services without the overhead of a long lease and administrative staff. With a virtual office, the startups can work from anywhere but still have things like a mailing address, phone answering services, meeting rooms, and videoconferencing.

A 6/8 seater meeting room with videoconferencing facilities is available at BioNEST IASST with free WiFi facility. Besides this choices are available for availing the larger accommodation capacity Seminar rooms/conference rooms of IASST Campus.  It is also equipped with excellent sound system and good interiors. This can be utilized on chargeable basis with prior appointment and permission from authority of IASST.

BioNEST-IASST (BN IASST)is set up within IASST as a division with a key objective of nurturing start-up companies and entrepreneurs working in the areas of healthcare, agriculture, food/nutrition, bio-energy, industrial & environmental biotechnology, etc. The BioNEST IASST was set up in August 2019 with an incubation space of around 10,000 sft. with the support of Bionest scheme, BIRAC, Government of India. The fully furnished dedicated lab space at BI includes: Four Exclusive labs (incubatee unit) of 270 sq ft. There is a common facility which houses equipments used in Pharma/Biotech experimentation. Each incubatee unit is provided with work bench and essential furniture etc. and each unit is fitted with uninterrupted power supply, telephone and Internet connection, fire protection and detection systems, utility lines and flexible ducting with centralized air conditioning. Considering the demand for shared facilities with specialized equipment support, an additional 610 sq ft. of incubation space [unfurnished laboratory space of varying sizes ranging from 75 to 200 sft.] and bootstrapping area of approximate 450 sq.ft is available

BioNEST IASSThas a common food court which is a pleasant ambiance place within the IASST  campus. The cafeteria serves wide range of refreshment, fast food varieties &hygienic food at reasonable prices. The cafeteria is well furnished and well maintained to conveniently accommodate good number of people at a time during the campus hours. Lunch, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are served to the students and staff at reasonable rates with an option of take away.

Incubation units are facilitated with the equipments in the area of molecular biology, protein chemistry, spectroscopy, microscopy and cell culture work. Services are charged based on “per sample” or “usage of instrument time”. Services are being charged differentially for Incubatees, academic institutions and outside users from industry. Equipments can be used through two options:

 (1) Clients having prior expertise of using the same equipment can operate by themselves. BioNest IASST staff will give the initial introduction for usage of equipment and analysis software as well as precaution to be taken during operation. Client should follow standard operating procedure of the equipment.

 (2) BioNest IASSTstaff will perform the full analysis.

BioNEST-IASST has a dedicated room for conducted Microbiological experiments of the products or samples on shared basis. The Microbiology facility has a Biosafety Cabinet, BOD incubator, Colony counter and Binocular Microscope installed in the room to facilitate the experimentation.

In the Cell culture facility, a separate Biosafety cabinet, A CO2 Incubator, inverted MIcroscope , automated cell counter and ELISA instrument is installed for culturing Animal cells.

BioNEST-IASST has a separate Sealing and Packaging facility for prototyping of the products.
