Applications Invited for FAME Biotech 2.0 - A Hackathonfor Biotech Start-ups for Ideation & Prototype Stage Innovations
About FAME Biotech 2.0 -
FAME Biotech 2.0 is the second edition of FAME Biotech hackathon organized by BioNEST IASST for identifying potential and innovative ideas on product development in the field of Agriculture, Healthcare, Waste management & Bioenergy, Industrial Biotechnology, Nutraceuticals, Cosmetics, Prosthetics, Diagnostics, Veterinary Sciences, Nanoscience, Ayurveda, Bioinformatics & AI/ML and other allied fields under Biological Sciences .
Who can apply?
Individual Innovators, Entrepreneurs, Startups, Faculty members, Research Scholars, etc. with minimum educational qualification as graduate.
Applications NOT supported under the scope of FAME Biotech 2.0 :
- Applicants who have received grant / funding ≥ Rs. 10 Lakhs.
- If the end product is hazardous/obnoxious/detrimental to society.
Benefits -
Top 3 ideas in the Ideation Stage will be provided pre-incubation support for 6 months to develop the prototype.
1st prize: Rs. 25,000/-; 2nd prize: Rs. 20,000/-; 3rd Prize: 15,000/-
Utilization criteria:
- Incubation rentals for 6 months (Rs. 1000/- per month)
- Remaining amount can be utilized mandatorily as consumables and contingency for 6 months to develop the idea into prototype
Top 3 ideas in the Prototype Stage will be provided incubation support for 6 months to develop the MVP.
1st prize: Rs. 50,000/-; 2nd prize: Rs. 45,000/-; 3rd Prize: 35,000/-
Utilization criteria:
- Incubation rentals for 6 months (Rs. 2,500/- per month)
- Remaining amount to be utilized as consumables and contingency for 6 months to develop the MVP.
Selection Process -
- Proposal will be shortlisted by Expert Committee on the Basis of Need/ Impact/ Viability/Novelty.
- Selected Individual/Team/ Company have to pitch for their product/proposal by an oral presentation.
- Finally deserving candidates will be selected for felicitation followed by incubation at BioNEST-IASST.
