BioNEST IASST under the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology organized an Interactive Session on "Exploring the role of human microbiome in health and disease and its translational applications" on 16th February 2023, Thursday from 11 am onwards. 

The session was moderated by Dr. Tania Paul Das, Manager (Science & Technology) - BioNEST IASST who introduced the webinar speaker – Dr. Vineet K Sharma, Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, IISER Bhopal. The inaugural speech was rendered by Dr. Jagat C Borah, Life Science Division, IASST. The session continued with the awareness talk on insights from the unique Gut microbiome, Biomarkers for early diagnosis of colorectal cancer, and analysis of the gut microbiome of autistic children along with healthy and dandruff scalp microbiome analysis. He also discussed various apps based on AI for Drug metabolism and genome sequencing of organisms of national and international importance.

A total of 45 participants attended and a few innovators interacted with the speaker.
