BioNest-IASST co-sponsored the National Symposium on Traditional Knowledge of India and its Commercialization, organized by IASST Guwahati.
Organized by IASST and co-sponsored by BioNEST-IASST, the First National Symposium on Indigenous Knowledge in Food, Beverages & Pharmaceuticals: Tradition to Translation - IndiGen-Symp-2025 took place from May 8th to 9th, 2025. Scientific presentations, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops filled the days. In his opening remarks, Prof. Ashis K. Mukherjee, Principal Investigator of BioNEST-IASST and Director of IASST, emphasized the significance of innovation-driven research in addressing practical issues. Attendees included officials and notable guests who lauded the incubatees' innovations and pushed for more collaboration between the scientific community and entrepreneurship. Participation from a BioNEST-IASST Self-Help Group was another way the event showcased its inclusive and community-oriented approach.
