BioNEST IASST in association with ISVEC has successfully conducted “One Day Hands on Preliminary Training Program on Animal Cell Culture Facility.” on 6th November 2024. The training session was organized for 37 UG and PG Students of Department of Applied Biology, USTM, Meghalaya. It was initiated with a lecture on Basics of Animal Cell Culture facility by Dr. Asis Bala, Associate Professor, IASST. Later, the students were given exposure of the practical demonstration on prerequisites for cell culture, simulation of primary cell isolation and staining processes of live and dead cells.
